| The University of Florida has an opening for the faculty position of Clinical Veterinarian and Assistant Director of Veterinary Services for Animal Care Services in Gainesville, Florida.
The Clinical Veterinarian and Assistant Director will provide high quality veterinary care to laboratory animal species housed on the UF Gainesville campus (with an emphasis on rodents) which includes occasional on-call emergency duty. Additionally, they will contribute to the management of veterinary technical services including ACS Surgical Services with clinical oversight of surgery cases and protocol development for surgical projects in USDA-covered species, as well as veterinary clinical services. This includes clinical supervision of the veterinary technicians and management of coverage by clinical faculty. As Assistant Director, this position will participate in ACS senior management and provide a back-up to the ACS Director/Attending Veterinarian. |
