The director of communications and events is the chief advocate and lead storyteller for the College of Health and Human Performance (HHP) at the University of Florida (UF). The director serves on the college leadership team and reports directly to the dean. We seek a visionary leader who is positive, energetic, creative, and forward thinking. This position oversees outreach and marketing, supervises major initiatives, and defines strategic goals. The director is responsible for building our social media presence, enhancing digital communications, publishing print material, developing marketing collateral, overseeing major events, and managing the college website. This work is supported by staff members, student interns, and a full-time graphic designer who report to the director. Specialized tasks may be assigned to external vendors contracted by the director. Across the college, the director works with the development team, the student success team, and our four departments to coordinate messaging and achieve shared goals. The director works with the UF communications and marketing office to promote college activities and ensure that HHP messaging is consistent with university standards.
