The Diagnostic Imaging Service at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital is recruiting for a Veterinary Diagnostic Imagining Technician I. This is an entry level position and perfect for those who want to expand their knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging on advanced modalities. The primary role of the Technician is to support the services throughout the hospitals by obtaining high quality radiologic imaging of patients for interpretation by a radiologist. These images, with an interpretation, will provide information that will help determine a diagnosis for patients. Our technicians work independently and in teams. The individual must be able to develop friendly, professional relationships and maintain a positive attitude throughout all interactions. The technician would be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the areas and equipment as well as maintaining inventory and stock. Ensuring communications are happening within the team is a must. Individuals should genuinely care about people and animals, possess excellent communication skills, outgoing, full of enthusiasm and a team player. This position is considered essential personnel and will be part of our Emergency response team. It requires a post offer health assessment and criminal background check.
