| Assists in monitoring the performance and in the maintenance of UF’s Stormwater infrastructure including but not limited to basins, ponds, outfalls, inlets, swales, trash traps, and conveyances (pipes, creeks, ditches) to ensure stormwater infrastructure meets performance requirements specified by Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Saint Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD), or any other state or federal agency with jurisdiction over the UF Stormwater System via permits such as National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) general construction and Municipal Sperate Storm System Phase 2 (MS4) permits. Assists in field inspections of construction sites to help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local erosion control and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP). Assists with investigating reported illicit discharges, documenting findings, in development and execution of remediation plan if needed, and reporting the findings to the Storm Water Manager. Assists in communicating storm water system best management practices to the campus community. Assists with investigating reported subsidences on UF property and working with Utility Team to determine possible cause and repair. If a subsidence is determined to be a possible sinkhole, Stormwater Inspector 1 will assist Storm Water Manager, Utility Team, Geotechnical Engineer, etc. in developing and executing appropriate remediation plan (reporting, securing area, stabilizing, filling, mapping/tracking, etc.). |
