The Bortolato Lab in the Department of Pharmacodynamics at the University of Florida’s College of Pharmacy is dedicated to exploring the neurobiological mechanisms underlying psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular focus on depression and Tourette syndrome. Our research integrates behavioral and molecular neuroscience alongside pharmacology, aiming to develop innovative therapeutic approaches. We are currently seeking a motivated undergraduate student to assist with our ongoing research. The primary responsibilities will involve mouse and rat colony maintenance under direct supervision, with opportunities to expand into wet lab experiments. This role offers a valuable hands-on experience for students eager to engage in cutting-edge research within a collaborative and dynamic laboratory environment. Prior experience in animal handling and laboratory techniques is highly desirable but not required.
