Job Description: Molecular Diagnostic Assay Design, Development, Testing, and Analysis
Lead the design, development, validation, and testing of molecular diagnostic assays. Perform data analysis, ensure quality control, and maintain protocol adherence. Train and mentor lab personnel in assay procedures, data interpretation, and techniques to ensure accurate, reliable results for clinical diagnostics and research.
Data Management and Presentation
Organize and analyze experimental data, preparing clear and concise reports for review by the Supervisor/Director. Present updates in weekly meetings or one-on-ones, including preparation of graphs, tables, and validation summaries.
Laboratory Operations
Maintain lab equipment and supplies, ensuring seamless operations through diligent record-keeping and inventory management. Train staff in equipment maintenance and operational protocols.
Additional Lab Responsibilities
Participate in lab meetings, write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and engage in other administrative tasks, as required.
Expected Salary:

Starting Salary is between $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field and thirteen years of experience or Master's degree in biology or a related field with eleven year of experience. Doctoral degree in biology or related field with eight years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will take initiative and possess strong independent work skills, have the ability to analyze and present data effectively, lead projects, multitask and maintain close communication with the Supervisor/Director. A degree in biochemistry, biology, or a related field is preferred. Hands-on experience and familiarity with molecular biology techniques within a research or clinical laboratory setting is essential. Specific experience with cell culture, DNA and RNA extraction, sequencing technologies, bioinformatics, and molecular biology software and instrumentation is specifically advantageous. Strong teamwork and collaborative skills are required.
