Job Description:

This position supervises and manages the Deposit Control area in the Banking and Merchant Services department within the CFO’s Division. Deposit Control ensures that university deposits are timely and accurately recorded in the myUFL system and assists departments in completing and correcting deposits.  This position performs monthly reviews of deposit activity and support and liaises with General Accounting to ensure deposits represent authorized revenue streams and are appropriately recorded.  Duties also include researching incoming electronic payments to identify departmental beneficiaries and assisting entities in setting up electronic payments to the university.  Deposit control also advises departments on policies and procedures related to cash handling. 

Expected Salary:

$46,000 - $55,000

Required Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

Preference given to experience in higher education environment.
Knowledge of banking procedures and/or practices for receiving, depositing, and disbursing cash.
Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, and procedures.

Other qualifications are:
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as team member.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse decentralized customers and constituents.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, and Excel.
Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheet, database, query and other analytical tools.

Ability to draft policy documents and translate regulatory requirements into practical and actionable elements.

Strong risk analysis and problem-solving skills in business, higher education and regulatory environments.
Strong organizational skills

Demonstrated attention to detail
