A candidate shall be expected to demonstrate successful experience pertinent to the position they are being recommended and have demonstrated qualities relevant to the goals of the academic unit in which they will be employed.

Job Description:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical care in behavioral neurology, including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and related cognitive disorders

  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and contribute to the development of innovative models of care

  • Engage in the education and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows

  • Contribute to the research mission of the department through participation in clinical, translational, or basic research

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the University of Florida’s robust neuroscience and aging networks, including the McKnight Brain Institute and the 1Florida ADRC.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with experience and education.

Required Qualifications:
  • MD or equivalent

  • Board certified or board eligible in Neurology

  • Completion of fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology or a related subspecialty

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Florida

Preferred:

Demonstrated interest in academic medicine and scholarly activity

Experience in clinical research and/or grant funding

Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
