Employment Operations & Records is seeking a temporary employee with an interest in growing within the HR field. This entry-level opportunity offers full training and the chance to gain hands-on experience across a variety of human resources functions and practices.

As part of UF Human Resources, the Employment Operations & Records team manages all electronic transactions related to the hiring process and employment changes throughout the lifecycle of UF employees. In this temporary role, you will support the team as an OPS Employment Specialist, working in collaboration with UF departments to help ensure employment-related actions are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Specific responsibilities of the OPS Employment Specialist include the following:

• Evaluates supporting documentation of personnel actions which include hiring paperwork and applicable forms to ensure compliance with federal, state, and university regulations
• Provides guidance to UF departments on applicable laws and University regulations and policies to ensure the timely approval of personnel actions
• Provides quality customer service by responding to and completing requests via email and phone related to employment transactions

This temporary position may last up to 3 months.

$19.16 hourly

Associate's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
