50% Serves as the liaison with students, alumni, and potential employers on both a regional and national scale. Responsible for the planning and execution of all law school on-campus and off-campus recruiting programs for JD and LLM students including the On-Campus Programs, Early Interview Week, the Tax Attorney Recruiting program, marketing externship opportunities, judicial opportunities, career fairs and other programs. Provide information to externship and Semester in Practice employers and market opportunities to students. Facilitate multiple practice interview programs. Manage school and student participation in regional and consortium job fairs. Create regional interview and recruitment programs for students and recent graduates. These programs shall include AmLaw 200 firms, elite government, and public interest legal employers. Market on-campus interview and recruitment programs to employers nationwide and educate and inform students regarding the employers and opportunities within these programs.
25% Expand opportunities for students and recent graduates in externships, summer and permanent employment. Perform research to identify potential employers, conduct targeted outreach to employers, and coordinate employer outreach by faculty, administrators, and alumni. Develop and execute creative marketing materials, programming, and other strategies to educate potential employers about the strengths of our students, programs, activities, and initiatives through social media, flyers, etc. Expand the number of employers interviewing our students, and advocate for our students with employers nationwide. Design and implement programs and processes to track the specific needs of legal employers, to identify students well-positioned to meet those needs, and to foster connections between employers and students.
15% Collect employment and other career related data through surveys and other methods. Review results and generate regular reports and provide to relevant constituents. Analyze data to help identify trends and develop strategies that can aid students and alumni in their job search, improve office services, maximize job opportunities, etc. Serve as student group liaison to monitor employer interactions with student groups.
15% Collaborate with career advisors to develop and implement programming and materials designed to educate and prepare law students for complex legal practice.
5%The Levin College of Law is growing and changing daily. All College of Law community members are expected to perform other duties as assigned in furtherance of our strategic goals.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- J.D. degree preferred.
- Preference also will be given to candidates who have experience working in legal recruiting, worked in a law school career services office, have experience placing attorneys in law firms, and/or have experience with attorney professional development programs.
- Knowledge of the legal marketplace and hiring. Familiarity with private and government legal and law-related employment is also required.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and strong customer service skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive within a team and to collaborate with others outside of the team.
- Flexibility, the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, and the ability to balance priorities.
- Experience in and knowledge of best practices for customer relationship management (CRM) and lead management.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to collect and analyze data and provide summary reports.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining professional networks and project management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and ability to master technology used in the office such as Symplicity and OSCAR.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
- This position requires facilitative and interpersonal skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and trust are essential.
