The Assistant Dean for Admissions’ responsibilities include:
40% Provide strategic direction and oversight for the admissions process for entering JD, transfer and visiting students, including strategies related to applicant recruitment, application evaluation, admission decisions, and yield efforts. Monitor the applicant and admitted pools to meet enrollment goals; adjust strategies as necessary. Develop, revise and interpret quantitative admissions models using Unite, Excel, ACES2 and other decisional tools. Evaluate, interpret, administer and revise existing admissions policies and develop new policies as needed. Strategically manage scholarship budget in excess of $2,000,000 per year.
25% Develop and implement tactics to evaluate the candidate pool, make admissions decisions and award scholarships on a timely basis, collaborating with admissions staff, College of Law Leadership Team, faculty and the Dean. Supervise, lead and build a strong, team-oriented staff for admissions efforts.
10% Provide strategic oversight for all admissions recruitment and outreach programs. Assist with program development and execution and evaluate effectiveness of all recruitment and outreach efforts.
10% Partnering with Assistant Dean for Messaging and Outreach, devise comprehensive messaging and communications strategy to build College's profile.
10% Serve as the Levin College of Law liaison to various University offices. Represent Levin College of Law at conferences and recruiting events nationwide. Provide service to legal education community through the LSAC, ABA, AALS and similar organizations.
5% Other duties as assigned
