The University of Florida Department of Emergency Medicine - Jacksonville is expanding! We are recruiting motivated and energetic physicians to join our Faculty. We have a clinical position in general emergency medicine that will serve at our UF Health North ED as well as our 3 community Free Standing ED/UC Hybrid sites. Successful candidates will receive academic appointments as either a Clinical Assistant or Associate professor. This is a non-tenure accruing position.
UF Health North is a 162-bed community hospital with a 34 bed Emergency Department, comprehensive radiology and laboratory services, and consultation availability from all University of Florida specialty and sub-specialty services. Annual admissions exceed 9,000 and are rising, with over 49,000 ER visits and 5,000 outpatient surgeries in the most recent year. Open since 2015, UF Health North serves as the sole all-encompassing medical facility in its area. Our growth trajectory reflects the surging population growth occurring in Northeast Florida.
The UF Health Free Standing ED and Urgent Care Centers reflect a groundbreaking care delivery option in our community. Open since early 2024, these three ED/UC facilities provide both Urgent Care and ED services dependent on patient needs. Each facility is on track to have over 24,000 patient visits in calendar year 2025, and will admit over 4,000 patients combined.
