The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville (UF COM-J), Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is seeking to hire a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join UF Health St. Johns in St. Augustine, Florida.
UF Health St. Johns is an extension of UF Health Flagler Hospital, a 335-bed hospital located on a 72-acre campus in beautiful and historic St. Augustine, Florida that has been ranked among the top 5% of all hospitals in the nation. UF Health Flagler Hospital has also earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from the Joint Commission for primary stroke care centers, national accreditation for its total hip and total knee replacement programs, accreditation from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer, and is an Accredited Center in Bariatric Surgery.
The successful candidate will receive a UF COM-J faculty appointment at the non-tenure accruing level of Assistant, Associate, Full Professor level based on the background and experience. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE clinical faculty position, with the expectation that the candidate will perform teaching duties and clinical research commensurate with an academic appointment. The program encompasses the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery including TAVR, Robotic thoracic surgery, TEVAR, minimally invasive aortic and mitral valve surgery. Experience is required and ample opportunities for collaboration with UF College of Medicine (Jacksonville and Gainesville) surgeons. Candidate will participate in on-call schedule. He or she must be eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.
