The University of Florida, Department of Emergency Medicine, seeks a motivated Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Research Manager, you will oversee aspects of clinical research studies, including patient screening, data collection, and regulatory compliance, supporting the department's mission to advance patient-centered emergency medicine. Focused on improving patient outcomes and driving impactful research, you will collaborate with a diverse, excellence-driven team to advance innovation in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
Study Operations:
- Conduct clinical screening of emergency department patients for study enrollment.
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to handle, transport, and perform initial blood sample processing.
- Acquire clinical data, obtain and process blood samples, and ensure accurate data collection, storage, and retrieval.
- Facilitate communication of study requirements to team members, including providing training and tools.
Protocol and Informed Consent:
- Review study protocols, including proceedings, timelines, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and confidentiality requirements.
- Conduct or participate in the informed consent process, including interacting with the IRB, answering participant questions, and handling sensitive conversations with critically ill patients or their families.
Regulatory and IRB Compliance:
- Submit study documents for IRB approval, revisions, and continuing reviews.
- Prepare serious adverse event logs and attend IRB meetings.
- Assist with creating study materials such as consent forms, regulatory binders, and source documentation.
Departmental Research Programs:
- Collaborate with PIs to meet recruitment and enrollment goals.
- Develop and implement strategies for participant retention in long-term clinical trials.
- Support data management to enhance the competitiveness of departmental research programs.

Expected Salary: |
The annual salary ranges between $44,000 - $48,000 and is commensurate with education and experience.
