STU-AST non-clerical 

The UF Upward Bound Math and Science Program is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the team as an OPS Tutor. In this role, you will provide academic support and instruction to students in a dynamic educational setting.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students in need of academic support.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Use various instructional strategies and technologies to engage students and promote active learning.
• Monitor students' progress and make changes to instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure seamless support and communication.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and developments in education best practices.

$13/hour

• High school diploma required
• Successful experience in providing instruction and/or instructional support in an educational setting

• Strong academic performance, particularly in math and science
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff
• Previous experience as a tutor or mentor, either through a school program or community organization
• Availability to work flexible hours
