Your supervisory and technical expertise will provide skilled service support, nursing, and patient care. As a working supervisor, you will coordinate service staff schedules and training; perform routine and emergency nursing care; prepare for and assist in various diagnostic exams and procedures; and be responsible for assisting with appointment schedules, admissions and discharges, visitor policies, and emergency call-ins. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of veterinary surgical and nursing care and techniques. The ideal candidate is an excellent verbal and written communicator, highly self-motivated, and able to prioritize well. The candidate will strive to promote teamwork both internally and externally within all services of the hospitals.
The UF Large Animal Hospital is located on the Veterinary College campus at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fl. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, or equivalent, and four years of relevant experience or two years of relevant experience in a veterinary academic teaching hospital.
