Federal Work Study- STU AST - NON CLER & ADMIN

The Museum Audio-Visual Technician, under the direction of the Museum Technology Manger, will have these responsibilities:

• Set up and monitor audio, video, and lighting hardware, monitoring their function and performance for museum events and programs.
• Conduct inspections of AV systems and components.
• Report issues and deficiencies to the Museum Technology Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service while assisting event/program attendees with the utilization of the Harn’s technology.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software faults related to audio, video, and stage lighting.

Candidate must be able to work variable hours, mainly evenings and weekends. Hours will fluctuate based on the events at the museum, up to 20 hours per week.

$14.00 per hour  

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience with audio, video, and lighting hardware
• Flexible Schedule
• Federal Work Study required

• Familiarity with audio, video and lighting-related hardware including computers, projectors, speakers, soundboards, microphones, video display devices, and electrical wiring
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to climb ladders up to 8 feet
• Ability to move up to 50 pounds
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Dependability and punctuality are essential
