Job Description:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Lead independent research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
•Investigate, create and develop new methods and technologies for research advancement.
•Contribute to scientific literature, reports, journals and presentations.
•Train and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
•Secure project-focused funding.
 
The ideal candidate will possess a robust academic background accompanied by a track record of noteworthy scientific accomplishments, indicative of their commitment to advancing knowledge in the field. This will be complemented by adept research and analytical capabilities, with a proficiency in designing experiments and skillfully interpreting their outcomes. A profound understanding of the intricacies of the research domain is imperative, underscoring the need for an in-depth knowledge of the subject matter.
 
Effective time management and organizational skills are crucial in ensuring the seamless execution of research endeavors and meeting project milestones. Moreover, the ability to convey complex ideas both in writing and through verbal communication is highly valued, as successful.
Expected Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience up to $85,000

Minimum Requirements:

We welcome applications from individuals with strong research backgrounds who hold a doctorate in biological sciences, molecular biology, biochemistry or closely related field and must have a minimum of three-years postgraduate research experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
•3+ years of experience using biochemical and advanced tissue culture systems particularly with primary neurons/glia and/or stem cells
•Experience working with mouse models
•Experience working with proteomics systems and high content imaging is a plus
