The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville invites applications for a position as a licensed psychologist primarily in the outpatient setting. This position is a full-time faculty member at the non-tenure accruing level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor depending on qualifications. The position entails outpatient provision of evidence-based assessment and treatment of adults (cognitive behavior therapy, family therapy, trauma-focused CBT, dialectical behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy etc.) and possibly psycho-educational assessments. Successful candidates must be committed to working with diverse adult community populations. Preferred experience with providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples and groups, in addition to experience in grant writing and teaching. This position will be an integral part of our developing psychology post-doctoral fellowship program. This department is especially interested in candidates who can participate in the training and education for the department’s general psychiatry residency and post-doctoral fellowship programs and contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching and/or service. The person filling this position will be expected to have their own therapy caseload. They will also provide clinical supervision and/or mentoring to master’s level therapists and therapists in training (LMHC or social work interns) to ensure current, evidence-based practices are offered to our patient population. There are opportunities for both clinical research and supervision and teaching in associated residency/internship programs. The successful candidate will have an appointment in the Department of Psychiatry with an excellent benefits package and salary depending on credentials and experience. Applicants must have either a PhD or PsyD and licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in Florida.
