Job Description:
  • Serves as a strategic leader within the University’s sponsored program enterprise and for the direction of UFR Contracts and Grants.  Acts as a financial signature authority and resource for all areas for sponsored program administration.  Advises and assists in planning and directing the post award financial activities of the university and the development and implementation of procedures for UFR Contracts and Grants.  Responsible for ensuring all activities comply with university, state, and federal regulations. 

 

  • Serves as the primary resource to the AVP for the development of reports and analysis on key performance indicators for the University’s sponsored program enterprise.  Assists in planning, directing, and reporting the financial activities of the sponsored programs administered by UFR Contracts and Grants.  Analyze reports for indications of quality and opportunities for growth and improvement. 

 

  • Lead electronic sponsored program initiatives within UFR Contracts & Grants including support of ERP system enhancements, upgrades, and support tickets as well as external sponsor portals and other necessary tools to ensure quality and efficient business processes.

 

  • Mentor all team members in UFR Contracts and Grants in their responsibilities.  Responsible for the recruitment, training, and professional development of grant accountants.

 

  • Other projects and reports as assigned by the Assistant VP for Contracts & Grants.
Expected Salary:

Commensurate with experience and expertise.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include a master’s or other post-baccalaureate degree.
