Job Description:

In this position, you will work with Dr. Astha Singhal on a wide variety of research projects using large secondary data such as administrative claims, surveys and electronic health records focusing on impacts of public policies on access to dental care among vulnerable populations. The Postdoctoral Research Associate is expected to lead research projects that involve activities including but not limited to: (1) Design and implement studies using large real-world data (2) Extract and process these data for analysis (3) Apply novel data science methods including statistical and machine learning methods (4) Develop and apply novel causal inference methods (5) Lead and collaborate on writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals  (6) Collaborate on writing research grants. Expected Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000/commensurate with education/experience

Minimum Requirements:

Doctoral degree in heath economics, health services research, data science, biostatistics, epidemiology or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualification:

  1. Previous experience with EHRs and claims data is preferred
  2. A dental degree or background is not required, but interest in oral health research is preferred.
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Have at least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed journal
  4. Proficient with programming in SAS/R/ Python/ SQL
