Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida, Jacksonville is seeking an applicant to fill a full-time position at a non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Associate / Full Professor as Chief of Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics.  This position will report to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. 

General duties and responsibilities will include:

Serving in a key leadership role with responsibility for all clinical, educational, and operational activities within the division, including fiscal, grant and budget management. Will maintain a clinical practice in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) and/or Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics (NDD), supporting education of residents and medical students, and providing mentorship to early career faculty. As an academic and education leader, he/she will lead the division in successful resident training, evaluation of learners, and promotion, as well as mentoring and sponsoring pediatric residents who are interested in a career in neurodevelopmental pediatrics. As a leader within the academic medical center, the division chief is expected to model innovative care through commitment to technical expertise and foster collaborations on a national level.

Expected Salary:

Negotiable base on experience and academic appointment.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must possess a MD/DO degree and possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical License in Pediatrics.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A MD/DO degree, board eligible or board certified in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.
  • Demonstrated personal and professional commitment to valuing diversity and promoting inclusion by modeling and fostering diversity and cultural proficiency.
  • Superior track record in leadership and building and/or contributing to collaborative team cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent.
