This full-time, salaried position is located in the Department of Physical Therapy in the College of Public Health and Health Professions. The work location for this position is in the Clinical Translational Research Building, located on the University of Florida campus. The incumbent will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) and faculty with the implementation of research activities for both industry and NIH sponsored clinical trials. The ImagingNMD UF network seeks a diligent, detail-oriented individual to assist with multiple industry sponsored clinical trials and government sponsored research studies collecting and analyzing magnetic resonance (MR) data and assisting with research participant visits. The incumbent will work as a member of the ImagingNMD Network with study key personnel to ensure compliance with the protocol requirements and regulatory standards. Primary responsibilities involve assisting with the conduction of clinical research, reading MR data, and assisting with onsite participant research activities. This position requires excellent communication, outstanding organizational skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and an ability to multi-task. The ImagingNMD UF research team brings researchers from throughout UF campus, industry, and other institutions together in a collaborative effort to further the understanding and treatment of neuromuscular diseases, including Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This research team facilitates clinical studies and trials focused on neuromuscular diseases and is engaged in national and international collaborative research efforts.

UF Police Department invites applications for a vacant Police Communications Operator. The employee in this position is in a probationary status and performs task in a trainee capacity. The employee does not work independently and is under the full time supervision of a communications training officer. During this time the employee will learn to become proficient, and demonstrate that proficiency, in the following duties: Operate communications command center providing radio communication support to sworn and non-sworn department personnel. Maintain radio/telephone communication link between field officers and base station, supervisors, emergency services, and other law enforcement agencies. Receive and evaluate calls from the public requesting police assistance, of both emergency and non-emergency natures. Input and transmit call information using computer assisted dispatch system or manual card system. Refer callers to appropriate agencies or extensions. The Alumni Analyst (AA) will use GatorTrain, a designed-in-house database, to collect, curate and disseminate the educational history, UF training records, and career outcomes of every PhD student and Postdoctoral trainee belonging to the Health Science Center’s 6 colleges (and affiliated departments outside those colleges). The AA will supervise work-study students and other department staff in the collection of this data, will maintain quality control on the results, and will classify the professional outcomes according to a nationally recognized taxonomy. De-identified results will be made available to PhD programs, departments and other stakeholders for marketing and reporting purposes. The AA will coordinate aspects of data collection with UF’s existing data warehouse systems and develop new reports and surveys on an as-needed basis. The AA will communicate trends in the job market to those responsible for designing curricula and other trainee experiences throughout the HSC, and to the Biomedical Research Career Development Office for the adaptation of its Professional Skills workshops. The AA will prepare the data tables required for every NIH training grant application, renewal, and progress report, and will support the websites of every training program with the alumni data specific to that program.
