Job Description:

This position will have joint responsibility in overseeing the integrity of the data scoring and entry for the studies they are assigned. Management of hard copy research files and their data entry into the appropriate database is a top priority for data management with this position. This position will also assist in various data mining and quality assurance tasks as well as data cleaning tasks including, but not limited to identifying and addressing missing, incorrect, or duplicated data and reformatting and standardizing of research data variables on MS Excel. 

Responsible for participant recruitment for a variety of clinical research studies, from physician referrals at the Springhill clinic and other UF sites, as well as fliers and word of mouth. This position will complete consenting process, collect blood and saliva samples, assist in data collection, and schedule participants for study protocols. This role will need to coordinate with providers for participant management and include weekly meeting attendance for participant recruitment updates. This position will also correspond with potential participants via phone and email to discuss eligibility criteria and procedures of participation.

Assist in monitoring important dates and milestones for the research project, such as replenishing subject payments, IRB renewals, and similar items. This position will also coordinate with other research staff to maintain project functioning including, recruitment goals, data quality, IRB compliance, and online instrument functionality.


Expected Salary:

$12.50 - $15.00

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree or an allied health professional degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with children and/or psychiatric populations. Ability to work independently, interact professionally and possess effective writing, time management, and organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MS Excel, Word and Access. Experience with online databases and/or collection such as REDCap or similar programs. Experience with statistical software such as SPSS and Stata.
Experience or desire to learn phlebotomy. Previous experience working on a research project or in clinical trials; paid or volunteer including participant interaction and/or recruitment.
