Consult with and report to faculty, biological scientists, and project managers; train, coordinate, supervise and lead Agricultural Assistant I/II, OPS personnel, and other workers; independently performs and assists projects for plant breeding, cultivar development, cultivar evaluation, and genetic research; work closely with farm managers and farm crew to ensure that project tasks are completed correctly and timely. |

| The Human Resources Assistant is located in Wimauma, in southern HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY: Reporting to the Administrative Services Manager the incumbent will primarily work on Personnel functions and Payroll as well as International Hires. This position will also assist with the annual assets inventory and provide some backup to fiscal when needed. The position requires confidentiality, excellent communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, organizational skills, attention to detail, and will cross train with other staff on various office related duties. This position may require rare / occasional travel to Gainesville and/or other Research Centers when needed. |

| The Biological Scientist II is located in Hillsborough County. This position will perform plant breeding, plant evaluation and research; record observations and measurements and report results; prepare, review, and update protocols for the plant breeding and research program; assist with ordering and stocking of materials, supplies and equipment; responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining working areas and equipment; assist on logistic preparation for field days and other visits.
