The Gynecologic Oncology program at the University of Florida is a collaborative team of gyn oncologists, advanced practice providers, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, gynecologic pathologists, genetic counselors, and palliative care to provide comprehensive care for women diagnosed with gynecologic malignancies and other complex gynecologic conditions. Academic faculty appointments are through the University of Florida College of Medicine, which is fully integrated with UF Health, and educational opportunities include teaching medical students and training ob/gyn residents. Faculty are members of the UF Health Cancer Center – one of three NCI-designated cancer centers in the state of Florida, which provides comprehensive support and opportunities for collaboration to investigators developing clinical trials or who have interest in pursuing a basic science or a translational research career. Surgical services are based at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL, where we are ranked as “high performing” in gynecologic cancer surgery and 17 other procedures and conditions evaluated by US News and World Reports. Inpatient and post-operative gynecologic oncology patients are admitted to the UF Health Cancer Hospital. Ambulatory care is provided at UF Health outpatient clinics located in Gainesville and Ocala.
