Position is responsible for coordinating, conducting and documenting training activities related to implementation of the FSMA Produce Safety Rule in the State of Florida. This includes organizing and teaching the PSA standardized curriculum as a lead trainer, leading and participating in the on-farm readiness review program (OFRR), conducting general Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs programs) and generally supporting the food safety extension efforts for growers. The candidate will work closely with Food Safety Extension colleagues, County Extension personnel, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) personnel, and growers and other stakeholders to advance food safety in the Florida produce industry.
