The Biological Scientist III position is a critical role within the Citrus Research and Education Center. This senior scientist position requires a high degree of independence, technical expertise, and leadership skills to design and execute research projects, supervise staff and students, and ensure the safe handling of pathogenic microorganisms and hazardous chemicals. The incumbent will be expected to apply their knowledge of food microbiology, epidemiology, and food safety principles to investigate emerging technologies, control of spoilage and foodborne pathogens, and environmental effects on foodborne pathogen survival.
