The Biostatistics Analyst III will lead research design for/with UF COM Faculty and analytical strategies for Catalyst Grants in the area of quality, safety, patient experience, and medical operations, along with provide input into protocols, develop and review statistical analysis plans and author/co-author reports, abstracts and manuscripts. With minimal and general instructions, the position must be able to work independently to perform programming, statistical analytic tasks, select and apply appropriate statistical methods, take steps to ensure that their work meets a high standard of quality, and work efficiently and diligently to meet program deadlines. The assigned portfolio and scope of work will include intermediate and advanced statistical analyses and programming for complex clinical trials and/or research projects. This position is housed in the Department of Health Services Research, Management and Policy in the College of Public Health and Health Professions.  Chief responsibilities are to coordinate the research activities for assigned principal investigators within the Department. The Coordinator will frequently be the public face of the project and must be able to explain the study to members of the internal and external public who will be involved with all aspects of the research.  The project may include survey research, participant recruitment, interviews with key informants, focus group interviews, statistical analysis of existing quantitative and financial data, qualitative analysis of interview transcripts, and routine meetings with internal and external team members. In addition, the project coordinator may be responsible for initiating and organizing meetings with stakeholders, including taking minutes during meetings and assuring follow-up action items are documented and communicated, as well as scheduling key informant and focus group interviews. The Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the lead PI on all day-to-day project management to ensure coordination and timely completion of various project tasks.
