| Job Description: |
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and digital marketing strategy aligned with the college’s communications goals.
- Developing content for social networking sites (e.g., Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn) including writing, designing, deployment of HWCOE and UF proprietary images, GIFs and short videos as well as open source materials.
- Assists with the development and implementation of all college and departmental email marketing campaigns recommended by the Associate Director including but not limited to graduate student recruitment, college and department reputation promotion, special faculty accomplishment / award promotion, special college / department large grant/sponsorship award, large center/institute launch or anniversaries.
- Assists with developing content for annual college events, special college events and email graduate student recruitment and online advertising.
- Identify opportunities to highlight college stories, achievements, and events across university and external digital platforms.
- Analyze performance metrics and provide regular insights and recommendations to enhance reach and engagement.
Coordinates with marketing and communication team members and internal college reps as overall in the following manner:
- Work closely with units and departments across HWCOE to amplify their digital presence and maintain consistent messaging.
- Establish and maintain brand and content guidelines for digital platforms.
- Monitor and respond to audience interactions, fostering a sense of community among students, faculty, alumni, and partners.
- Communicates regularly with college MARCOM, departments, College Development Office, unit administrators and University social media staff to engage the UF and external communities with coordinated messages.
Supports and Coordinates the implementation of online and social media:
- Stay on top of industry best practices and identifies trends.
- Pilot new technologies needed for online and social media outreach where applicable.
- Advise department marketers of latest online and social media tools and analytics.
Benchmark against competitor institutions’ online media presence:
- Review competitor institutions’ online media activities and advise College MARCOM and team members of changes and updates.
- Develop and share associated analytics with departments, institutes/centers, as well as the College.
Other duties assigned:
- Serves as support to college on special projects as requested.

| Expected Salary: |
$47,500 - $55,000; commensurate with education and experience
|
| Required Qualifications: |
Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and appropriate experience.
|
| Preferred: |
Experience with social media planning, posting, interacting and analyzing Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn posts.
- Proven success in curating targeted social medial engagement for specific stakeholders.
- Proven success in developing online, social and event outreach content for specific target audience.
- Experience working in higher education, nonprofit or science/engineering communications.
- Working knowledge of SEO, paid digital campaigns and email marketing tools.
- Experience in student recruitment.
- Demonstrated ability in deploying latest online and electronic platforms, delivery technologies and benchmarking tools.
- Excellent communicator and team player
Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with ADA compliance and accessibility standards for digital content.
