Job Description: |
The Faculty Instructional Resources and Support Team in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is seeking someone with curiosity and initiative to join our video production team as a part time OPS Interactive Video Creator to capture and produce innovative instructional media for online courses.
This position will focus on bringing interaction into video and other instructional media using overlays, clickable hotspots, 360 video, branching paths, embedded quizzes, integrating external tools, and other emerging technologies. This position is focused on enhancing viewer engagement and also maintains studio readiness and assists with day‑to‑day operations of the Express Video Studio (EVS) and Express Audio Studio (EAS). This team member prepares rooms and clients and assists studio and field productions as needed (equipment prep, basic camera/audio help, slate, talent wrangling, asset offload, and session notes).
Leveraging increased interaction to make media clearer, more engaging, and aligned to learning outcomes, the Interactive Video Creator strengthens student engagement and success in CALS courses— advancing FIRST’s mission to partner with CALS/IFAS faculty on accessible, high‑quality, outcome‑based and student‑centered teaching and learning experiences. This position offers hands-on experience in educational media production and opportunities to explore emerging technologies in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Ideal candidates have curiosity and initiative to create innovative solutions, are proactive, and are comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of video-based or interactive authoring tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS or Javascript is a plus.
- Animation/motion graphics or programming experience is a plus.
