Job Description: |
The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida, is seeking applications and nominations for a full time, clinical track faculty position in Veterinary Ophthalmology. The position is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Teaching responsibilities will involve didactic and clinical training of professional students and residents. The individual will participate in and support the teaching and service activities of the Ophthalmology Service in the UF Veterinary Hospitals and will be expected to develop and maintain a productive research program.
The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine is ranked as the #5 College of Veterinary Medicine in the US and is the only one that is part of a top 5 public research university. The College of Veterinary Medicine is located on a campus in close proximity to the College of Medicine and numerous other Health Sciences units that provide ample opportunities for translational research and collaboration. The Veterinary Ophthalmology clinical service is composed of 3 faculty, 4 residents, two technicians and a service coordinator. The UF Ophthalmology service has been internationally recognized for research in glaucoma, drug delivery, corneal health and disease and equine uveitis.

Required Qualifications: |
Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree. Diplomate status or eligibility in the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists is required.
