The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants holding a PhD in nursing or related health-care field for this full-time, twelve-month, 1.0 FTE non-tenure track Research Associate Professor position. The Director of Implementation Science and Outcomes Evaluation will play a pivotal role in advancing the strategic initiatives of the UF College of Nursing by leading the integration of evidence-based research into clinical practice, with a focus on measurable outcomes.
This position emphasizes the development, execution, and evaluation of data-driven implementation strategies that improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery systems. The Director will be responsible for generating impact reports, utilizing advanced analytics to assess the effectiveness of interventions, and ensuring continuous quality improvement in clinical practice and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Implementation Science Initiatives (50%): Develop, execute, and manage the College's implementation science strategy aimed at translating evidence-based research into nursing and healthcare practices.
- Data-Driven Decision Making (5%): Utilize advanced analytics to measure the impact of interventions, identify areas for improvement, and guide strategic decision-making in nursing practice and healthcare delivery.
- Impact Reports (5%): Design and deliver comprehensive impact reports that evaluate the outcomes of implementation initiatives. These reports will include key performance indicators (KPIs), patient outcome metrics, and return on investment (ROI) analyses to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborative Partnerships (5%): Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare organizations, academic partners, and community stakeholders to drive the successful integration of innovations in clinical settings.
- Research and Grants (10%): Serve as a principal investigator (PI) or co-investigator on implementation science research projects, with a focus on securing extramural funding for translational research and innovation in nursing practice.
- Quality Improvement (5%): Lead quality improvement initiatives based on data analytics, including workflow optimizations, care delivery enhancements, and outcome measurement techniques that improve both patient care and operational efficiency.
- Mentorship and Capacity Building (5%): Mentor faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in implementation science and the use of analytics to support evidence-based decision making in clinical settings.
- Policy and Practice Integration (5%): Oversee the development of guidelines, policy briefs, and recommendations that drive the adoption of innovative practices in healthcare, supported by data and impact analyses.
- Training and Development (5%): Develop educational programs and workshops that focus on analytics, impact reporting, and evidence-based practice for nursing students and healthcare professionals.
- Leadership in Research Translation (5): Provide leadership in the dissemination of implementation science findings to improve clinical care, focusing on measurable impacts and scalable solutions in healthcare systems.
