Job Description:

The lab of Dr. Timothy Garrett at the University of Florida in the Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral associate. The Garrett lab is a mass spectrometry lab focused on metabolomics, lipidomics and bioinformatics. The postdoctoral associate would be responsible for the development of quantitative and semi-quantitative blood spot assays for LC-HRMS and LC-MS/MS using a specially designed blood spot card. The goal of the research is to translate assays for clinical diagnostics and to expand the use of dried blood spots for metabolomic and lipidomic applications.


· PhD in a related field (e.g. Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry)

· Excellent written and oral skills

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Experience with mass spectrometry primarily LC-MS

Expected Salary:

$47,476 - $58,500  a year, per NIH rates based on experience

· Experience with mass spectrometry primarily LC-MS
