Logs all contacts in member’s file as well as in contact/complaint database. Distinguishes between questions and complaints for purposes of classification, reporting and follow-up, as well as ensures that follow up letters are sent to members and providers. Explains and initiates the grievance process for families, if necessary, and explains how to file a grievance if a complaint cannot be resolved. Ensures that new members receive all new member materials and ID card with correct information. Assigns Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) when none has been chosen by the family or when a change in PCP is requested. Responsible for overseeing the updating of Ped-I-Care and MED3000 data bases and PCP changes. Works with Provider Relations reps, CMS Nurse Care Coordinators and Quality Improvement staff to identify and resolve member issues, etc.
