Job Description:

a)         Office Assistant 

            Create Camp Deposits

            Maintain, organize, and create orders of Office supplies

            Assist Resident and Assistant Director with Paperwork

b)         Kitchen Supervisor Responsibilities

            Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and food service personnel.

            Work with Health Department with Health and Safety Inspections of food service areas

            Supervise dish-washing procedures.

            Plan menus and utilize leftovers wisely.

            Train staff.

            Maintain time and payroll records to report to the Resident Director.

            Supervise pantry and storeroom.

            Supervise and assist in the preparation of food.

            Supervise kitchen safety.

            Approve orders, help receive and store food and other supplies.

            Meet with staff as needed to address specific concerns.

            Some duties may be reassigned, and additional responsibilities may also be assigned as 


c)         Housekeeping 

            Clean floors, hallways, and bathrooms of the cabins so that health standards are met.

            Empty trash cans and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.

            Sweep, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing machines.

            Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.

            Wash, dry, fold and sort clean linens, and store them in linen areas.

            Inform maintenance if repair services are needed.

            Hang curtains.

            Dust and clean windows periodically.

            Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses at the end of the summer.

            Care for housekeeping property and be responsible for the upkeep of the equipment.

            These are not the only duties to be performed. Some assignments may be reassigned,   

            and additional responsibilities may also be assigned as required.

Advertised Salary:

$14 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.3

Valid Florida driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

a)         Accounting Skills

b)         Organization skills

c)         Critical Thinking skills

d)         Experience in a camp or institutional food-service setting

e)         Supervisory skills

f)          Ability to relate and work well with others

g)         Desire and ability to work in a camp setting

h)         Customer friendly personal

i)          Must pass criminal background check

j)          Must have certification from Food Safety class.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

First Aid and CPR certifications, Notary Public commission are beneficial but not required.
