Job Description:

Volunteer Coordination – Organization of, communication with and on-site monitoring of volunteers during the strawberry fruiting season

Field and Greenhouse Activities – Assists with crop maintenance, harvesting and scouting of strawberry field and greenhouse trials

Inventory Management – Assists with keeping inventories of germplasm, labeling and mapping

General Lab Activities – Assists with preparing materials and media and other activities as needed

Advertised Salary:

$17 to $20 hourly; commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  2. Ability to record data correctly.
  3. Ability to pay attention to detail.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively.
  5. Ability to organize and coordinate work.
  6. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  7. Knowledge of safety rules.
