Job Responsibilities:

Digital Media Production Services

Assists in the planning, coordination, setup, creative, and technical aspects of Institute digital media productions across academic, auxiliary, and student curricular and extra-curricular activities. Assists in the scheduling of ongoing operations for the Virtual Production Studios (VPS) and related facilities and equipment, ensuring the smooth workflow of projects from concept to completion. Involved in the development of pipeline and workflow systems and protocols to facilitate digital media production operations and Digital Arts & Sciences curricular activities.

Academic Support Services

Provides support and instruction for the Digital Arts and Sciences program when needed. Assists the Institute Director and Associate Director in the training, preparation, and delivery of instructional activities for the Institute’s academic program. Provides instruction and mentoring as required during the 12-month academic activities of the Institute. Plays an advisory role in the creation and implementation of general Institute digital media production policies and equipment needs. Helps ensure productions stay on time and on budget.

Strategic Optimization and Implementation

Works with the Institute’s administrative and facilities management leadership team to continually optimize processes and workflow to achieve productivity, enhanced output, and generation of high-quality digital media production artifacts. Suggests potential updates to help ensure productions stay within agreed-upon parameters.

Facilitation of Student Extracurricular Digital Media production activities

Provides leadership and mentoring as needed for the student collective now known as LUMA to fulfill project demands and meet established deadlines.  

Supplies and Equipment Specification and Maintenance

Contributes to the specification, review, and approval of digital media supplies and equipment, and assists in equipment specs and integrations across classroom teaching and learning, online systems, and digital media components.

May assist in logistics and support for events

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an area related to digital arts and 1-2 years of experience in a professional digital arts environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Digital Arts & Sciences or a related field and experience in multi-disciplinary collaborative teams, coordination of multiple projects, and a history of successful project completion.

A detail-oriented person with computer skills, writing skills, experience in production pipelines, especially in an academic, research, and production setting.

Experience in mentoring students at the college level.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
