||The University of Florida, Department of Medicine, Division of Palliative Care, is seeking a board certified physician or board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine, for a full time faculty position. Fellowship training in Palliative Medicine is preferred, but experience or training may replace this requirement. UF Health is a progressive academic medical center that includes three, state-of-the-art hospitals, (UF Health Shands, UF Health Cancer Hospital, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital) in addition to a Comprehensive Cancer Center that includes a Supportive Oncology program consisting of a Palliative and Integrative Medicine ambulatory clinic. The hospital based Palliative Care Service includes dedicated support staff in addition to shared hospital personnel to include APP's, social workers, chaplains, psychologists, palliative resource nurses and pharmacy support. The main responsibilities of this faculty position include attending on the inpatient palliative care consultation service, supervising and instructing palliative care trainees, supervising APP's along with participating in clinical, educational and research activities of the service. We seek highly motivated leaders to support the growth of our palliative care program, including development of a fellowship program. Academic rank will be awarded commensurate with experience.
