Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Florida is seeking a motivated candidate for a postdoctoral position in Cell & Molecular Physiology/Biochemistry/Cell Imaging with focus on Ion Transport Regulation in the gut (Am J Physiol 2002;283:G240,2012;303:G60 & 2015;308:G874, Gastroenterology 2004;126:148, PNAS 2006;103:9390 & 2007;104:4020, PLOS ONE 2017;12:e0171045). Thus, in addition to basic routine lab skills, training in cell signaling, membrane protein trafficking, proteomics, or microscopic imaging is required and working experience on neurophysiology and lab animals (rat & mouse) is a plus. Successful candidates will be a Ph.D. with high motivation and recent publications.

Advertised Salary:

$47,476 - $50,000; commensurate based on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. in Cell & Molecular Physiology/Biochemistry/Cell Imaging or similar field

Training in cell signaling, membrane protein trafficking, proteomics, or microscopic imaging

Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and bioinformatics experience.

Applicants should have strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

At least two first author papers written in English with accepted or published status in respected journals.

Working experience on neurophysiology and lab animals (rat & mouse)
