We are seeking a digital artist with experience in teaching at the college level, contemporary digital content creation, production tools, and software techniques to instruct multiple class sections of courses covering areas including 2D-3D digital assets and game engine programming, Interactive Media, Game Design, and Project Development.
LENGTH OF APPOINTMENT or EMPLOYMENT PERIOD (beginning and ending dates): July 1, 2018 – June 31, 2019
We anticipate annual renewal based upon effectiveness in the performance of the assigned duties, the needs of the college, institute and financial consideration. The effectiveness of performance will be covered in a written evaluation, which is completed during the Spring term.
Each year, the Director of the Digital Worlds Institute will identify goals for the position's work assignments. The annual evaluation will be based on demonstrated progress toward reaching those goals. These evaluations will serve as important criteria in considerations regarding promotion and salary determination.
Commensurate with experience.
Bachelor’s degree in an area related to digital arts and sciences, one year experience of successful teaching at the college level.
Experience in successful project development and completion in the digital arts industry, proven ability to mentor and support student achievement and career preparation, a Master’s degree in an area related to digital arts and sciences.
