The Department of Physiology and Functional Genomics is seeking a postdoctoral fellow position in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Liu. The major focus of the lab is to study the molecular, cellular and physiological mechanisms of circadian rhythms in mammals. The research offers interdisciplinary training in molecular and cellular genetics, mouse genetics, and genomics, as well as behavior and physiology.

For circadian rhythm studies, we employ kinetic and longitudinal methods to measure the temporal dynamics of molecular cellular and physiological processes. The associate is expected to successfully carry out independent research and encouraged to develop his/her own independent projects within the general theme of the ongoing research program in the lab. Highly motivated candidates trained in biology or related areas are strongly encouraged to apply.

Advertised Salary:

$47,484 to $49,484

Minimum Requirements:

A Ph.D. degree in a relevant biological field and have a strong interest in studying gene function and cell and animal behavior and physiology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experiences in molecular biology, cell culture, mouse and cellular genetics, and genomics. Experience in neurobiology, virology or other areas is a plus but not required.
