Applications are invited for multiple, newly created, 12-month, tenure-track faculty positions at the Associate and Full Professor levels. The Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics (http://pharmacology.med.ufl.edu) is expanding its program in cancer pharmacology with an emphasis on translational medicine. The successful candidate(s) will hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, have a record of significant research accomplishments, and maintain a highly successful research program. Candidates should have a history of significant research funding and serve as principal investigator of at least one current NIH/NCI R01 grant. Candidates of particular interest are those who complement growing strengths within the Pharmacology Department and Cancer Center in RNA therapeutics, Immunotherapy, DNA damage/repair signaling, signal transduction, and mechanisms of invasion and metastasis.

Applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree with formal post-doctoral research training. Other requirements include a strong potential for or demonstrated success in securing competitive research funding and a record of accomplishments in research. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Previous teaching experience, demonstrated scholarship, and experience in mentoring students are preferred. Candidates with existing extramural funding to support part of their salary are preferred.
