Job Description:

- This position is responsible for creating the professional development strategy as well as managing and executing programming in support of that strategy for current MBA students and, when appropriate, UF MBA Alumni. The Academic Program Specialist III will conceptualize, develop, and execute co-curricular programs and activities which complement and enhance the student’s academic experience and career preparation plan. Additionally, this strategy will generate energy, enthusiasm, interest and involvement among prospective students and alumni. The Academic Program Specialist III will be expected to deploy programming to advance the UF MBA program mission including professional development of MBA students, MBA graduate job placement, and MBA program enrollment.

- Develop and execute overarching strategy for UF MBA professional development plan, including the creation and evaluation of measurable goals and objectives that demonstrate student growth and enhance the value of the UF MBA degree, above average student satisfaction, increases in recruitment numbers, and graduate placement.  Work closely with colleagues in the Warrington College of Business Development team, the UF MBA Advisory Board, MBA students and alumni, other University departments and influential constituents, stakeholders, and community members in positions to develop programs and partnerships that would be mutually beneficial to help realize the goals of this strategy. Develop and manage programming budget to facilitate the professional development strategy. Develop policies that are in line with college and university policies by liaising with key college, university, and other relevant university personnel.

- Create, direct, and execute curricular and co-curricular programs, initiatives, and events for the holistic professional development of the UF MBA community including (but is not limited to) domestic city treks, speakers, seminars, regional networking events, clubs/organizations, case competitions, experiential learning opportunities, and leadership development opportunities. Identify strategies to maximize participation at events by increasing awareness, enthusiasm, and interaction during the events. Represent the UF MBA Program at all program events and activities that involve alumni participation, both on and off campus. Manage the communication and execution of the operations associated with individualized leadership and performance assessments of MBA students. Utilize MBA constituent feedback along with assessment programs to improve UF MBA professional development and leadership offerings.

- Collaborate with College Marketing team and WCB Development team on the UF MBA communications strategy and execute that strategy, which includes monthly newsletters, advocacy, and awareness outreach campaigns in order to promote awareness of and engagement in these opportunities to UF MBA community. Create and execute recognition programs that will encourage UF MBA community members to increase participation in activities that support the mission of the program.

- Collaborate with Business Career Services (BCS) team to support the placement goals of UF MBA and to ensure alignment between professional development activities and candidate preparation. Support BCS team’s efforts to provide job and career services to UF MBA alumni.

- Other duties, projects, deliverables, or reports assigned from the Assistant Dean and Director

Advertised Salary:

Up to $65,000.00

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills and be highly organized with strong presentation skills. Candidate will have a background in event management, student programming and alumni engagement.

He/She will seek to find similar partnerships with colleagues throughout the Hough Graduate School of Business and Warrington College of Business Administration.
