Provide overall support to assist with budgeting and expenditure activity as it relates to revenue enhancement and sponsored projects and contracts as it relates to our financial and cooperative agreements with county governments (funds 171, 182, and 209). Manage these administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Oversee deposits, expenditures, and reconciliations for financial areas for Extension Service Incidental Trust account, sponsored activities from our county governments, and donated funds as they relate to individual extension office activity.
Work with Director to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies for University, IFAS, and Extension. Identify deficiencies and provide timely solutions.
Be knowledgeable in UF's financial system.
Develop training materials and provide subsequent training through multiple platforms, including on-site, webinars, phone calls, and other technology platforms to ensure proper adherence to UF's and department systems. To include: cash handling/deposits, basic accounting/reconciliation, PeopleSoft, UF pcards, sales tax, technology (Eventbrite, swiping machines, check scanner, etc, internal controls, and segregation of duties to name a few.
Develop communications as appropriate and maintain them accordingly to include: website and email list.
Provide general technical support and assistance as it relates to accounting and other administrative activities.
Position will assist the Director to provide overall leadership and assistant to the office staff within the unit.
Be well versed in and ensure administrative policies and procedures for the University, IFAS, fund management, 4-H Associations (in concert with 4-H state headquarters), and Extension related 501c3 organizations.
Provide reports and information as needed for data analysis and impact.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for staying up-to-date on policies and procedures for multiple agencies. This position will need to interpret polices as they relate to the business functions for the responsibilities.
This position will assist the Director in providing recommendations and implementation for program direction and development as it relates to assigned area.
