The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research and the UF Health Cancer Center (UFHCC) invite applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor. The successful candidate will have an academic appointment in the College of Pharmacy and be responsible for teaching; service to the College of Pharmacy, UFHCC, and the pharmacy profession; and research and scholarly activity. The position will have a negotiable level of clinical pharmacy practice.
The selected candidate will serve as the Assistant Director of the Experimental Therapeutics Incubator in the UFHCC and as a collaborating co-investigator on all early phase UFHCC Investigator-initiated trials. The UFHCC is a nationally recognized cancer center with 142 cancer-focused members, and an associated research portfolio exceeding $26M in annual grant funding. Thus, in addition to a strong clinical oncology background, the individual should have strong research skills to contribute to the research mission of the UFHCC and college. The candidate is expected to advance research in the UFHCC and collaborate with other cancer center faculty members to ensure optimal translational research correlatives are embedded in Investigator-initiated trials.

UF Health Shands is a nationally recognized 875-bed academic medical center located in beautiful Gainesville, Florida. UF Health Shands Hospital provides diverse and comprehensive patient care services including critical care, hematology/oncology, pediatric, neurosurgical, cardiovascular and general medicine services. Inpatient oncology services include Adult Medical Oncology, Inpatient and Outpatient BMT/Leukemia Service, and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT. The UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital is a 500,000 square foot facility that offers advanced resources for a wide range of oncology, surgery, critical care, and emergency/trauma patients and is licensed for approximately 200 beds.
A doctoral degree (e.g. Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D), formal post-doctoral research training in oncology (e.g. fellowship), and an academic record suitable for appointment as a clinical associate or full professor. Eligibility for Florida licensure is required. Excellent teaching and communication skills are essential. Criminal Background Check Required.
