Job Description:

Applications are being sought for up to two tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Occupational Therapy. Candidates must have a doctorate in OT or a relevant, related discipline. and hold or be eligible for Florida Licensure. Successful candidates will have clearly defined expertise in a relevant research area. Successful applicants at the Associate or Full Professor level will have a strong track record of external grant funding. Duties include research in the area of expertise, pursuit of external funding, teaching and mentoring of students, and service to the department. These are 12-month positions, expected to start in Fall 2017 or Spring 2018, and can be filled as part-time (at least .50 FTE) or full-time.  

The Department of Occupational Therapy (http://ot.phhp.ufl.edu/ ) is a national leader in occupational therapy education and research. The department has active research programs in the areas of community mobility, driving rehabilitation, and learning disabilities, as well as outstanding academic and training programs that include an entry level Masters in Occupational Therapy program and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science program. The department is a leader in the NIH-funded K12 Rehabilitation Research Career Development consortium and is home to the Florida Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation; Institute for Mobility, Activity and Participation; and the Center for Research on Telehealth and Assistive Technology. The Department of Occupational Therapy is housed within the College of Public Health and Health Professions and is well integrated within the Health Science Center providing a wealth of opportunities for research collaborations.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have a doctorate in OT or a relevant, related discipline. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching and research experience is essential. Licensed as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida or eligible for licensure.
