The postdoctoral fellow will perform studies related to the role of epigenetics in blood malignancies, particularly acute lymphocytic leukemia, myeloma, and lymphoma. They are needed to complete the aims of studies outlined in awards from the State of Florida Bankhead Coley program, Live like Bella program and the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. The Licht Lab will investigate the role of histone methyltransferase NSD2 in the molecular biology of hematologic malignancies. The Post Doc will perform both in vitro and mouse model experiments, prepare animal protocols, write up data into manuscripts, abstracts, and grant progress reports as well as present research findings at internal lab meetings and scientific conferences. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to understand the project and work independently taking responsibilities in the development and execution of experimental procedures to successfully advance the research project.
