The Department of Epidemiology is recruiting a tenure track faculty member at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The Department is situated jointly within the College of Public Health and Health Professions (PHHP) and the College of Medicine (COM), in the new Clinical and Translational Research Building, facilitating collaborative multidisciplinary research and focus.
Faculty members teach in the MS and PhD in Epidemiology and the Master of Public Health program and participate in student mentoring. Our current faculty are leaders in aging, cancer, cardiac, chronic, environmental, infectious, substance abuse and psychiatric epidemiology. The Department works closely with the NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and is home to HealthStreet and a Fogarty International Center Training Grant.
Salary is negotiable; commensurate with experience and qualifications.
An appropriate doctoral level degree in epidemiology or a relevant related discipline.
A successful candidate must have substantial expertise in Epidemiology, a strong publication record, demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring, and have an established record of funding.
