The University of Florida (UF) announces the
availability of a tenured or tenure-track faculty position in skeletal muscle
biology. We seek an accomplished scientist who will broaden our research presence
in this field. Areas of particular interest include myofibrillar biochemistry,
soft tissue biomechanics and bioengineering, muscle-bone interactions,
excitation-contraction coupling, anabolic and catabolic signaling, and
molecular genetics of muscle. The successful candidate will join an established
community of muscle scientists at UF whose research is multidisciplinary and
highly collaborative. Successful candidates will have a (1.0 FTE, 9 or
12-month) appointment in The College of Public Health and Health Professions.
