This position serves as Administrative Coordinator for the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation and works closely with the WEC Department Chair. The incumbent is responsible for interpreting, implementing and ensuring compliance with UF business rules and policies to manage effectively the financial operations of the unit. Additionally, this person provides ongoing support to the campus Florida Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit which oversees the development of research projects under the existing cooperative agreement between the US Geological Survey, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, the Wildlife Management Institute, US Fish and Wildlife Service and the University. This necessitates an understanding of the complexity of the Cooperative Agreement that governs the Unit and a collegial working relationship with the representative of the participating partners.
